I need to create code to build a module out of the electronic federal code of regulations (which is basically a .XML file). Did someone do this already or can provide me with help to do it? Parsing XML in Doors is painful camba - Tue Jun 27 08:03:47 EDT 2017 |
Re: Electronic Federal Code of Regulations It depends on the content inside the XML file. If your XML contains XHTML formattings and lots of attachments and stuff like this you should consider trying to make a ReqIF file from it using your favourite tool and simply importing it into DOORS. If the XML does not contain complex formattings you should consider making a simple xslt stylesheet to transform the xml file to a .rtf file and import it using the native rtf import. So I think taking the extra step to convert it to a file format easily readable from DOORS will make it much easier, than trying to get this into DOORs directly from DXL. Maybe this helps, regards, Mathias |
Re: Electronic Federal Code of Regulations Open the XML file in Excel (OpenOffice/LibreOffice) and see how it looks. Export from Excel as CSV/Tab separated and import to DOORS through Spreadsheet import. |
